My home town is Yokohama, and I live near Minato Mirai. But my house is in a quiet residential area, and there is a famous park and a zoo nearby. I have been there so many times since I was a child. These places have become popular destination for me, so I want to introduce them to you.
First, I will tell you about the park. We call it Nogeyama Kouen Park. This park is not so big, but on weekends, many families come to this park. There is a mini-basketball court there.
There's a wide-open lawn there also. Every evening, many people take a walk with their dogs in this park. The broad lawn is used as a dog run. Of course, there are places to rest, eat lunch or hang out, too.
This place has an observation platform. From here, you can see Yokohama Landmark Tower and look down on my home town. This is my favorite spot. The view from here is beautiful at night. The whole town's lights are on, and also Yokohama Stadium is lit up. In summer, this is the best place to watch fireworks.
In addition, the zoo is next to this park. The zoo is called Nogeyama Zoological Gardens. The red panda is one of the first animals visitors see upon entering this zoo, and also one of the most popular. The zoo has about 1400 animals of 100 different species. I have been there so many times since I was a child.
If you have the opportunity to come near Sakuragicho and Hinodecho, please pay a visit to both places.
Thank you for reading, and have a nice day.
