Hi! Thanks for stopping by! Today I'll write about my Kamakura trip, which is a contribution of my last post.
In my last post I said that I went to Engakuji. And I also I went to Tsurugaoka-Hachimangu. It's one of the famous shrines in Kamakura. This shrine is often used for weddings.
There is a long road in front of Tsurugaoka-Hachimangu. It is called Dankazura. It's part of Wakamiya Oji. Wakamiya Oji means a long road to Tsurugaoka-hachimangu from Yuigahama. There are a lot of cherry blossoms. When spring comes, they bloom and It's so beautiful. I want to see and take many photos of the beautiful cherry blossoms this spring. Recently this road is crowded every weekend with visitors and pedestrians. This is a historical street because in 1182, the most influential person in the Kamakura period, Yoritomo Minamoto was made for praying safe childbirth for his wife.
I went to Komachi-Douri. This street called a heaven for eating. This famous street is next to JR Kamakura Station. Komachi-douri is a relatively newly named street with souvenir stores for tourists that run from Kamakura Ekimae to Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine. It's an amazing shopping street. You can eat freshly made, hand‐grilled rice crackers in the rice crackers shop in Kamakura Ichi-banya.
In the evening I ate sardines on rice prepared in two ways. One was whitebait lightly grilled and the other was raw whitebait. It was so delicious. I hadn't eaten it before, So I was impressed. If I have an opportunity to go to Kamakura again, I really want to eat that meal again.
The Kamakura trip was so nice. And I'm glad to visit Kamakura, take many photos and eat delicious meals. All the trees will turn red soon. I want to go Kamakura again as soon as possible.
Thank you for reading. This is my last post about Kamakura!!!
